Welcome!
Welcome to our online learning event. This event has been designed by education students completing the course "ICT and Pedagogy", offered through the University of Southern Queensland.
The event will run over three days, from 7 December 2012 - 9 December 2012. We encourage participation from future educators, current educators, or anyone who is interested in how ICTs can help enrich learning experiences.
Pedagogical Approach
Through this online event we hope to take you on a discovery learning experience. We will pose an inquiry question and then, by introducing you to a variety of Web 2.0 tools in various teaching contexts, we hope that you will begin to develop a deeper understanding of how ICTs can enrich teaching and learning.
While our online event uses the Australian Curriculum: English (Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority, 2012) as a starting point, we believe that participating in this discovery learning experience will be of benefit to all current and future educators. Throughout the online event we will be asking you to head down your own path of discovery by analysing how the various Web 2.0 tools can be utilised in your own teaching area.
We will not be giving you the answer to the inquiry question, because there is not ‘one’ answer. Instead, we will be offering ideas, resources and information that we hope you can use to discover your own ICT pedagogy.
Before we embark on this discovery learning experience, please take the time to complete the introductory activity below.
